Colored Egg Homestead: Happy New Year & A Giveaway

Happy New Year friends! 2013 is gone and we have a bright new year ahead of us. While I don't much believe in resolutions per say, I do think that the beginning of a new year brings forth a renewed sense of hope and aspirations to strive for.

For the past few years the goal has been to 'produce more, consume less'. We have been working toward this by growing more of our own foods, saving seed, bartering goods, ditching cable, installing rain barrels, and our newest adventure; growing fodder for the chickens and our pet rabbit to cut feed costs. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish this year to become more self-sufficient and I hope that you all will continue to follow us in our journey.
