CEH Week in Review 10/6

Here is a peek into whats been happening around the homestead this week.

Here is one of the BCM pullets from this hatch. They grow so fast <3 We probably won't see any dark brown eggs from her and her sister until spring.

This girl, still doesn't have a name. She is one of our EE girls. She is full of personality.

This is one of the new babies from the olive egger hatch. This one is my favorite so that means there is a 99.9 % chance that it will be a rooster.

Blurred Flight.

The Mama's and the babies are doing well.

Its been so interesting to watch the Mama hens take care of, watch over, and teach the little chicks. Its really sweet to watch them together.

This is Fireball. She says hello.

This is Angry Bird.  Shes not really angry, shes just molting.

Something about this picture just cracks me up.

Grabbing a sip of water from our little mini pond.

Broody Brenda and my Little Miss made their way into the most recent issue of From Scratch Magazine. From Scratch Magazine is a fantastic FREE resource for modern homesteaders. Check it out here: Read the latest issue

The eggs that our Broody's gave up on have started to hatch. Here are two of the new arrivals with our resident warmer, Monster Kitty.
